The loom industry in India was one of the topics focused on. A video depicting the lives of Balaramapuram handloom weavers, how sarees are woven according to their quality, the efforts behind their work, etc. were explained to the students. Shwetha of Grade 10 introduced the topic, ‘Loom Industry’, and students were made familiar with different types of fibres such as cotton, silk, and jute. The significance of the Quit India Movement in our freedom struggle was highlighted by Devapriya of Grade 6 and Anshika of Grade 7.
